I’ve always loved knitting. I’ve always tweaked patterns to suit my needs. But making the leap to a ‘DESIGNER’ is freaking me out a little. Will other people like what I do? Time to put my big girl pants on and take a leap!!

Be still my beating heart…

by Kylie, in category inspiration, knitting

I’ve been working hard on a design project so haven’t been posting as regularly as my head would let me, but I’ve just seen something that has made my heart leap. It was this… Rock Island by Jared Flood Something about this sings to me of feminity but also strength. Yeah! I know sounds like… Read More

I got a new toy!

by Kylie, in category inspiration, knitting, photography

I went online looking for a fixed macro lense to take better pics of my knitting and get back into cooking and blogging about it. In my usual style I came away with something completely different. But I love it! Its a telephoto lense. What was I thinking??? You don’t have to sneak up on knitting or… Read More

Blog love

by Kylie, in category blog love, clothing, inspiration

There are some blogs I love and eagerly await the next installment. And I love them for different reasons. The Sartorialist is one I’ve followed for a while. I love clothes and fashion, though you might not think that if you saw me schlepping around the house. And when I say I love clothes and… Read More

Which one???

by Kylie, in category clothing, inspiration

These dresses are drool worthy. I was about to launch into making a new dress, when I went trawling the net for a few ideas. I came across this site and fell head over heels in love. This company was started by a couple of women who were sick of not being able to find dresses… Read More

A little bit of linen

by Kylie, in category inspiration

I had a computer. It held all my bookmarked sites. Things that inspired me and things that I would one day want in my home. It died. I was very sad. I was also happy that TGWH had backed up all the pics on it. But there were so many site addresses that were gone.… Read More

by Kylie, in category floods, inspiration

Thank you all sooooooo much for taking part in my little blog auction. I am in awe of the generousity of everyone with their bids and the actions of everyone in blog world to do something to help in this spreading tragedy. As always, in the midst of tragedy come the heartwarming stories… Read More

The Clean Up

by Kylie, in category inspiration

Now, the hard work begins. In the aftermath of the Brisbane floods my thanks go to those who are involved in all the blog auctions and raffles that are springing up all over the place and especially to everyone from overseas who are thinking of those affected. Check out …. and take part.… Read More
